Kindness Starts in the Yoga Room
Yoga Etiquette & Very Important to Everyones Experience
Traditionally yoga is done with bare feet; please respect this timeless practice by removing your socks & shoes and store them in the back. Socks can cause you to slip. Please do not walk around the studio floor in your shoes where your face will be.
Likewise if the floor is dirty, you will be rolling it back into your mat from the surface area.
Keep your phones Smart; Please turn them off or silence before the practice starts.
Wear comfortable, breathable, clothing that allows for easy movement but doesn't expose yourself when your upside down.
Be prepared to sweat!
I encourage everyone to purchase their own yoga mat for hygienic reasons.
Do not eat 2 hours before class to ensure that you are practicing yoga on an empty stomach. If necessary, you can drink a small amount of fruit juice or something light before class. Truth; think flatulence.
Make sure you are well hydrated before and after class, feel free to bring H2O if you would like.
Please refrain from wearing perfumes or cologne due to the sensitivity some students may have to fragrances.
Notify me before registration if you are pregnant, have any medical condition, or an injury that may affect your practice.
Please arrive on time as each class has its own rhythm, The beginning is important.
If you arrive late to class because of unpreventable circumstances, please be respectful of the class by Quietly entering the yoga room and gently unrolling your mat. Find a place to put your mat without interrupting the other students.
If you need to leave early, please let me know and do so quietly before Savasana, not during.
Please do not attend classes under the influence of any altering drug, illegal or legal or alcohol. Your attention, balance and full facilities are required for your safety.
